The world of Conan the Barbarian is one of blood, battle, and savagery. As your soldiers and those of your enemy die on the battlefield, their bodies will be left to rot and spread disease that can quickly turn the tide of war. Of course, a necromancer might be able to turn that to their advantage.

These are the environmental effects in Conan Unconquered.

Disease[edit | edit source]

Disease is caused by the pile-up of corpses as well as certain units which can cause it. It is contagious and must be actively cured to be removed.[1]

If there is enough bodies piled up, it will create a cloud of disease, which will affect units. They will slow down or pause to talk about health.[2]

Fire[edit | edit source]

When you’re building your base, don’t lump everything together. A single spark can take you back to the stone age.
~ Renato Orellana[4]

Fire occurs through attacks. It will spread among buildings and gain strength if not put out.[1] Upgrading from wood to stone structures can help mitigate the damage and give you time to 'dump sand on the flames'[citation needed].[4]

If a unit is burning, the message "Unit burning" will apear above the menu.

Sandstorms[edit | edit source]

Sandstorms are mostly visual, but will affect sight range and can unearth buried treasure.[1]

To find the treasure chests, look for the 'tornado' which appears during the sandstorm. Treasure should be nearby.
